Air Source Heat Pumps
Optimising Energy Efficiency
Air Source Heat Pumps
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) are cutting-edge heating systems that turn ambient air into a dependable supply of heat for home and commercial buildings. Using cutting-edge technology, these pumps capture heat from the outdoor air and transmit it indoors via a refrigerant process, even at temperatures as low as -10 degrees
ASHPs are a popular choice for property owners wishing to minimise their carbon footprint while maintaining pleasant inside temperatures because they are an eco-friendly and energy-saving alternative to traditional heating techniques.

Benefits of installing Air Source Heat Pumps
Energy efficiency
Heat pumps use far less energy than standard heating systems, resulting in lower utility bills and a lower carbon footprint.
Environmental friendliness
Heat Pumps help create a more sustainable environment by using renewable energy sources like the earth or air to power their devices, which lowers greenhouse gas emissions and the need for fossil fuels.
Cost savings
Heat pumps are a cost-effective heating and cooling (depending on the type of heat pump) option because of their great energy efficiency and low operating costs, which can result in significant long-term savings for building owners.
Available grants
To lower the cost of installing an air source heat pump, government offer grant through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme if you live in England or Wales. Heat pump installations completed by the end of March 2028 are covered by the programme. Read more
How heat pumps work?
The air source heat pump takes air into it using a fan, hence it must be placed outside in the open. The heat exchanger, which holds a refrigerant liquid, is subsequently passed by this air.
The refrigerant liquid is heated enough in an evaporator by the latent heat in the air to cause it to boil and change into a gas. After that, a compressor is used to compress this gas, which raises its temperature considerably.
After that, the refrigerant’s heat is extracted by another heat exchanger, converting it back into a liquid that may be utilised to generate heat.
